Offshore Structural Inspection
Fixed Oil and Gas Production Platform
Oil and Gas
No Working at Height
Reduction in time and personnel
Air Control Entech visited a platform in the North Sea to carry out a structural survey including the flare, under-deck, crane booms, exhaust stacks and lifeboat davits.
Inspecting hard to reach locations offshore often involve working at height using access methods such as rope access or scaffolding. ACE mobilized the ACE-A-M300 RTK visual inspection drone to perform the full scope without the need to expose anyone to the risks of working at height.
The flare stack was inspected while operational, eliminating the need for unwanted shutdown time. Keeping production up and removing the need for a rope access team. The M300 has a top mountable camera system which allowed for the inspection of the underside of the cellar deck.
The full inspection was completed in under two weeks, a substantial time saving to traditional inspection methods. The full inspection report and all data was completed and submitted to the client within 7 days of demobilization.
