ACE celebrates the P&J Energy Voice Gold Awards

September 20th, 2018

This years P&J Gold Awards was a fantastic evening – a reminder of the recent resurgence of the North Sea oil & gas industry and a celebration of the businesses small and large making a difference in this industry.

Air Control Entech received two finalist nominations – in the the Health and Safety Award, and the Innovation Award. Competition was fierce, with all finalists well deserving of the recognition. It was an honour to be nominated and recognised for the work that we do in advancing technology and inspection standards in the UKCS.

Richard Neville, editor-in-chief of the Press and Journal welcomed guests, and praised the efforts of the industry to make the North Sea more competitive.

He said: “The energy industry is in a much better place now than it was in 2015 when the inaugural Gold Awards ceremony was held. Oil prices are much higher and new entrants backed by private equity have reinvigorated the North Sea and brought in fresh investment… This hasn’t happened by accident. The industry and its regulator have done a commendable job of making the basin more competitive and companies are taking on board the need to transition to a low carbon future and make better use of Scotland’s green energy potential.”

The ACE team led by Kieran Hope had a great night alongside fellow nominees and guests at the Marcliffe at Pitfoldels. We look forward to celebrating again in future and wish every congratulations to all the winners on the evening.
